taught by Instructor/Trainer Tim Rogers.
This one-day course meets the NFPA 1670 Standard requirements for water
at the awareness level and is designed for any responder who, in the course of
their duties, may be the first on-scene at a water incident.
This
classroom seminar introduces personnel to the problems of surface swiftwater
rescue, as well as the procedures to follow in flash flood, large-scale
disaster, and seasonal flooding situations.
Awareness level training provides students with theoretical knowledge
and does not provide students with the skills to perform rescues of any
type. No equipment is required for this
class.
