On June 24-26, 2005,  the North Carolina Association of Rescue & EMS, Inc. held their  49^th annual convention in Winston-Salem, NC.  The Winston-Salem Rescue Squad entered four teams in the Rescue Challenge and one team in the Rescue Competition.  At the awards ceremony, the squad received the following awards:    

Rescue Competition:  Second Place

Rescue Challenge: 

            First Place:       Jeff Hinshaw/Laura Hinshaw

            Second Place:  Ronnie Mayberry/Eric Stroud

            Third Place:      Anne Slayton/Sandy Mayberry

            Sixth Place:      Steve Weeks/Karl Priedeman
